Get back-to-school ready by upgrading your family command center! Amazon’s Echo Show 15 is the perfect way to get organized, make lists, stay on top of events and appointments, and so much more. I’ll show you exactly how I created this whole look, including the custom frame I made for the smart touch screen.
Installing the Amazon Echo Show 15
The installation process is very straightforward— just plug it in. If you choose to wall mount The Echo Show 15 like I did, everything you need is provided in the box. You simply attached the mounting plate to a wall and then hang the device. It’s all very seamless and you can even run the cord behind the screen so it’s out of sight. I chose to mount mine on the side of our refrigerator panel since we had an outlet available right where our refrigerator is plugged in.
Making the frame for the Echo Show 15
Here is the trick to making your Echo Show 15 look like a piece of art hanging on the wall— make a frame for it! The process is similar to what I did with our living room tv which you can see here.
For this frame I started with a basic 10×16 picture frame that fits perfectly around the screen of the Echo Show 15. I added some additional moulding pieces around the outside of the frame to help cover the sides of the screen. After everything was assembled, I gave it a quick spray paint and then used my favorite gold paint, Rub n Buff in the Gold Leaf color.
I’ve found the best way to hang frames like this on a screen is with elastic bands. You can easily attach the elastic bands with a staple gun. This method also makes it easy to slip the frame on and off as needed.
Quick side note… the thin black frame on the Echo Show display will show through ever so slightly once the frame is on. I just applied some Rub n Buff to the black frame to fix the issue.
To complete the look, I stack another piece of art above it and topped it off with a picture light.
