A few giant spiders, an unreasonable amount of spiderwebs, ALL the pumpkins, and lots of lighting bring this porch to life after dark. This might be my favorite Halloween porch transformation yet! Here’s exactly how we transformed our front porch for Halloween.
Supply List:
- Variety of spiders (Large, Medium, Small)
- Stretchy Spider Webbing
- Giant-Sized LED Spider Web
- Purple String Lights
- PVC Piping & Elbow/Connectors
- Hardware Cloth
- Zip Ties
- Optional Additions: Govee Permanent Lights, Spider Projector
The Support Structure
You can make a simple structure out of PVC Piping and Hardware Cloth to give support to the webbing and spiders. Start with a basic PVC arch that will fit and frame your porch nicely. Cut down the hardware cloth into strips (about 1′-2′ wide) and zip tie it onto PVC. Move your structure into place on your porch a secure it. I used really long zip ties to attach it to the columns on our porch.
I usually leave the support structure in place and use it again at Christmas time for garland!
Decorating with The Webbing and Spiders
Start layering in Stretchy Spider Webbing to cover the hardware cloth. The webbing sticks really easily to the edges of the hardware cloth. Command hooks come in handy as well for stretching the webbing. Before adding the spiders, I used two of these Giant-Sized LED Spider Webs to frame our porch steps. The Spiders are easy to add next by zip tying the legs to the support structure or command hooks. Lastly, I layered in some more lighting with these Purple String Lights behind the support structure and the Govee Permanent Lights on our soffits.
