Living Room Reveal

It’s hard to believe I started thinking about this living room refresh in January of this year. And now, here I am finally sharing it nine months later! Simply said… a home takes time. Things change, styles change, family needs change, and there’s nothing wrong with that.

You can find my initial plans for the living room in this blog post from earlier this year. Here’s a look at the finished space and some of the projects I completed in this living room refresh. But first… a little before and after as a reminder of where we started.

The DIY Canvas Artwork

This canvas artwork started as a digital download. It’s easier than you think to take your favorite digital artwork and transform it into your very own canvas art. I shared how I did it in this blog post.

The Thrifted Lamp Makeover

Who could forget the “little lamp that could?” It all started with a $2.97 thrifted lamp from Good Will. It had a rough start, but I gave it a makeover and changed it into something special. You can see the before pictures and the complete transformation on this blog post.

The Coffee Table Dupe

I can say, without a doubt, that this coffee table is my favorite piece of furniture built to date. Using reclaimed white oak boards really upped the look! The full plans and details can be found on this blog post.

It just goes to show you, that you don’t need all new furniture to makeover a space. I hope this encourages you to tackle a space you’ve been wanting to update. One more before and after shot!

  1. I’m just now stumbling across this site. Thank you for doing a room update that involves the same furniture and layout! So many refreshes are all brand new things, and I like you said “we aren’t ready for a new couch”. This turned out beautiful and I’m so inspired!

    1. Aw thank you so much Sarah! I actually impressed myself with how different I could make the room look, hahah! Basically all the same furniture but with a fresh look.

  2. I love the beige look everywhere! Just beautiful! I love the drapes and the curtains the best! Thanks so much! I just stumbled on this! Love it!

  3. Can you please share where your sofa and chair are from? It’s exactly what I am looking for. Thanks,

    1. I am so sorry Melissa! I have not been able to find a link for it. We got it from a local furniture store many years ago. I’ll let you know if I ever find anything close to it.
