This entryway project started as a simple table swap and snowballed into a full-on makeover. Funny how that happens! Here’s a little before and after shot of the changes made.
The Entryway Cabinet
It all started with this antique cabinet I found on Facebook Marketplace. I sanded away at this guy to get a nice raw wood finish. The natural oak wood color is just beautiful.
The mirror was also a lucky find at our local Pottery Barn Outlet. Changing the color of it to gold with some rub n buff gave the mirror the exact look I was going for, without a hefty price tag.
The Entryway Shelves
You wouldn’t believe me if I told you, but I have no shelves in my home to style! It’s an utter tragedy for my décor loving self, haha! This nook area in our entryway was the perfect opportunity to add some shelves.
I had some wood leftover from my DIY coffee table, and it worked out perfectly to use it for my shelves.
The Front Door
I got a little wild and decided to paint the front door. Best decision ever! I am loving the contrasting trim and door color against all the white. While I have no plans to paint all the doors and trim in our home, this seemed like the perfect spot to take a little risk and try it out. The door and trim color I picked is Sherwin Williams Accessible Beige and I think it works nicely with our white wall color which is Sherwin Williams Alabaster.
The Entryway Light
Do you have a light in your home that you’ve been wanting to replace forever? Here we are five years later, and I’ve finally replaced the light! This stunning fixture from Generation Lighting gives the perfect pop of modern amongst all the other vintage elements.

Love this look! We are painting our whole house and we’re trying to find the perfect white. I’m curious.. are your ceilings also SW Alabaster?
Aw thank you Samantha! Yes, our ceilings are SW Alabaster as well, just in a flat ceiling paint sheen.
Hey there. Love what you did. What sheen did you land on for the door and do you still like the finish?
Thank you! I used Sherwin Williams Cashmere paint in the sheen “low luster”. I use it on all of my trim work, so I definitely love it! It’s sort of between a matte finish and a satin finish.
Can you share more about your floors? They’re gorgeous! We’re planning to replace carpets for LVP and I think a color similar to this would be so timeless and perfect!
Aw thank you! Absolutely! They are engineered hardwood, BRUCE FRONTIER COLL. 3/8” X 5” BRUSHED TUMBLEWEED
Hello,
Loving everything about your entryway! Did you paint Alabaster and Accessible beige both at 100% saturation?
Thanks!
Thank you! Yes, both are 100% saturation/true swatch color.
